For one_last_resort:

Sirius Black has been many things in his lifetime: pureblood wizard; disowned heir; loyal friend; convicted mass murderer; innocent man framed and imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit; escaped prisoner; fugitive; godfather. His most unique ability is the ability to turn himself into a large, shaggy black dog, an ability which has been quite useful at several points in his past. With black hair and fathomless gray eyes, he looks somewhat older than his 36 years, and he has the appearance of once-handsome looks that have faded. He seems to know the basic principles of putting together a wardrobe, but at the same time doesn't seem to have much of a fashion sense.

Sirius finds himself at the hotel following his death at the hand of his cousin during the battle in the Department of Mysteries.
